EuroSPI 2024 Travel Guide for Social Events

1.) Social Event on 4.9.2024 - Rosenheimer Herbstfest


Address: Herbststraße 2, 83022 Rosenheim, Germany


Details: Auerbräu beer tent inside inside the Rosenheimer Herbstfest. Find here the plan of the Wiesn (Wiesn is an old dialect of German word for a large field with lots of beer tents and music). Inside that plan is the link to the Auerbräu.


Buses will bring the attendees to the Rosenheimer Herbstfest, and buses will start 17.30 in front of the conference location.


Note: To reach the beer festival and not lose the places we must leave at 17.30 with the buses (later reservations are not possible because the festival is so well known that other people/groups/tourists will compete/pay/invest for the places onsite). The busses are directly in front of the building. You can either store your bags at the conference location (locked till next morning), or you can take them to the bus and you will have the same bus on the journey back.


Have a nice typical Bavarian festival, if possible in Lederhosen! If you have one, do not forget the Lederhosen, and if you do not have one try to get one. However, Lederhosen is not required.


Background: The door of the tent opens 18.00 and we have Tom onsite to organise the places. There will be many people that will want to get our tables, and we come 30 minutes after opening. So it will be a challenge to keep the festival attendees away from our reserved free places. See the picture of the Auerbräu.

There will be great Bavarian traditional music and lots of Lederhosen.



 2.) Social Event on 5.9.2024 - Bamberger House

The distance between the university and the Bamberger house is too short to get buses. A taxi takes 8 minutes, it is 30 mins. walking distance (2 km and 200 m), and we recommend public transport.


  1. Option 1: Along Lothstrasse towards North West direction, walk 1 km to tram station Nordbad, take tram line 27 (in direction Petuelring U) and leave at Gartenstrasse, and walking distance of 250 m to Bamberger house through the Luitpolt park.
  2. Option 2: Along Lothstrasse towards North West direction, walk 350 m to the bus station Infanteriestrasse Süd, take the bus 154 to bus station Nordbad, change to tram station Nordbad, take tram line 27 (in direction Petuelring U) and leave at Gartenstrasse, and walking distance of 250 m to Bamberger house through the Luitpolt park.
  3. Option 3: Along Lothstrasse towards North West direction, walk 1 km to tram station Nordbad, take tram line 12 (in direction Scheidplatz U) and leave at Scheidplatz and walking distance of 550 m to Bamberger house through the Luitpolt park.
  4. Option 4: Along Lothstrasse towards North West direction, walk 350 m to the bus station Infanteriestrasse Süd, take the bus 154 to bus station Nordbad, change to tram station Nordbad, take tram line 12 (in direction Scheidplatz U) and leave at Scheidplatz and walking distance of 550 m to Bamberger house through the Luitpolt park.
  5. Option 5: Along Lothstrasse towards South West direction, walk 200 m to the tram line station Hochschule München,  take line 20 to Leonrod Platz, change at Leonrod Platz to tram line 12 (in direction Scheidplatz U) and leave at Scheidplatz and walking distance of 550 m to Bamberger house through the Luitpolt park.

The Luitpolt park is a famous park in Munich, so enjoy the 250 m or 550 m through the park.


If you have any issues with a walking distance of 250 m, then a taxi is recommended, it takes between 5 to 8 minutes to the Bamberger house from the conference location.
